Mail truck!

Wooo, there goes the mail truck outside my window.

Snow emergency is over. We're getting mail, and the libraries are open.

Seriously. 9” of snow + 1 week of sub-freezing temperatures = no mail. What is wrong with this city? I thought that the USPS is supposed to deliver.

We had about a foot of snow on top of an inch or two of ice for a few days, and then one day with rain and 50-something degrees - buh-bye snow!

We also never got our newspaper last Sunday :-(

I didn't get my Sunday newspaper either, but I'm sure that you have more excuse than I do.

In Seattle, 9” of rain + 1 week below freezing = lots of bitching + no mail.

We had snow Friday - Sunday, and then it stayed cold until Wednesday, when it rained and washed everything away. The plows couldn't really keep up while it snowed, hence the lack of newspaper, but our mail carriers have been driving some pretty hardcore SUVs for the last few years, probably for this very reason.

Northern weather is just fabulous, isn't it?

Truly! We have these 4-inch plastic bumps that the city glues to the road, but the snowplows popped them all off. I know that if I were still eight years old, this would be a goldmine. (And not because some of them are yellow.)
